So the year 2014 is coming to an end and I can confidently say that my endeavor of achieving good health and setting healthy lifestyle examples for my little one has been achieved. A pat on my back for this!! Now I want to take my goals to a next level. I want every one of you to set health related goals for the New Year 2015. New Goals of achieving good health through a healthy body and also a healthy and positive mind. Good health besides losing weight also means to have a positive attitude, a healthy mind, lots of laughter and happiness which in turn brings excitement into our lives and the mindset which helps us to tackle day to day challenges with elan.
Now that the new resolution has been set let’s take baby steps:
In the first step I will talk about food. Yum! I completely understand how difficult it is to sacrifice delicious gourmet food. 🙂 But who’s talking about sacrificing? 🙂 We are going to find out ways to eat everything and yet achieve our healthy eating goals. In our daily routine we should try to cook at home as much as possible with natural and fresh ingredients. Eat seasonal produce as much as possible and include healthy carbs, good fats and lots of proteins into your diet. If you are attending any invitation make sure you don’t go starving. Always munch on healthy food before going to the party so that you are able to make the right decisions. Snacking at regular intervals boosts your metabolism and make sure your metabolism is always working for your body to be able to burn fats which in turn would help you to lose weight. Remember to always make right and healthy decisions when it comes to food and never go on an empty stomach to a grocery store. 🙂
In the second step I will talk about the importance of physical activities. We all know that exercise is an important part while losing weight but the physical activities have other benefits too. To start with, you can register for 5K or 10K run or you can do some exercises at home which would be non-equipment exercises, standing jogging or climbing up and down the stairs and many more.
For example:
1. It helps in blood circulation
2. It helps in free flow of oxygen all over the body.
3. Promotes healthy and glowing skin
4. Burns calories
5. Tones the muscles
6. Helps in building the muscle mass
7. Brings flexibility in you.
In the third step let’s talk about the overall happiness. With good health and healthy lifestyle you are able to build up immense confidence. Happiness flows in your heart and your mind is positively active. You are also able to explore your creative part and generate lots of energy inside you. Good health brings you the motivation to strive for new challenges. Good health also brings positivity in your mind which helps you to sail through your low/tough times.
Let’s work together towards achieving long term good health goals and adopt a healthy lifestyle in the NEW Year 2015.
